The opportunity

AAT used Angular across a growing set of digital services. Each product needed to feel coherent without forcing teams to repeatedly solve the same interface problems.

I joined with a background in modular front-end development and quickly applied that experience to Angular applications. My first focus was helping bring Fabric, AAT’s design system, to life.

The approach

The work connected the digital design language, shared HTML and CSS foundations, and Angular components into one reusable system. Components were designed to be composable, documented, and practical for product teams to adopt.

My involvement expanded across applications built from scratch and established services that needed to evolve without losing consistency.

Contribution

  • Developed reusable Angular components for use across multiple services.
  • Translated design-system standards into maintainable front-end patterns.
  • Worked within REST API-driven products and automated delivery pipelines.
  • Helped teams balance consistency with the needs of individual applications.
